Is Nortriptyline Any Good? – Maybe – but Maybe Only a Bit
Recently, nortriptyline has been touted as good anti-neuropathic drug but thoughts of its use have extended into use for chronic pain in general. Well, it doesn’t work for back pain, sciatica or migraines so that might need reanalysis.

Could Statins Help Prevent or Treat Neuropathy?
After classic sciatic nerve constriction in rats, spinal/nerve elevations of Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF), matrix metalloproteases (MMP-2) and nerve growth factor (NGF) were some ameliorated by Atorvastatin. In a human case report, atorvastatin reduced neuropathic pain.

Obscure Groin Pain Could Be Lumbar Disc Even if Back Not Painful
Five cases of groin pain that refused deliniation and had NO back pains. They all turned out to be L4/5 or L5/S1 disc pain found on discogram/discoblock. They all got relief with anterior intrabody fusion.

Acromegaly Peripheral Neuropathy Responded to 5% Baclofen
Subject treated for acromegaly developed peripheral neuropathy and could not tolerate oral meds. Though pain was 9/10; 5% baclofen once daily, profoundly reduced pains in legs.

Prevent Chemotherapy Neuropathy With L-Acetyl Carnitine (LAC) – Please Take
Peripheral Neuropathy can limit the extent of chemotherapy and hence have a direct effect on survival; L-Acetyl Carnitine at a dose of 3-5 gm/day can prevent that.

Severe Neuropathic Pain – Only 1/4 Respond to Standard Drug Protocols – What Else Is There?
Presentation at Canadian Pain Society Winnipeg 2013 found only 23.7% of severe neuropathic pain victims responded to Canadian Pain Society drug protocols for neuropathic pain. It is time to look outside the box for treatment measures.
