Simple Opioid Risk Tool

A talk by Dr. Pam Squire recommended a simple opioid risk tool called the ORT

Predicting Aberrant Behaviors in Opioid-Treated Patients:Preliminary Validation of the Opioid Risk Tool
Lynn R. Webster, MD, and Rebecca M. Webster

Factors included:

1) Age – 16-45 are higher risk

2) Family history of drug, prescription drug, or alcohol abuse

3) Personal history of same

4) Psychopathology – ADHD, OCD, Bipolar, Scizophrenia

5) Depression

6) History of pre-adolescent sexual abuse (scored only in women).
