The new Fibromyalgia criteria are confusing and so I put together a self- questionnaire that might simplify things for people.

1) Painful areas – Count up to max of 9 points – you want to see widespread pain – especially in 3/4 quadrants
2) Each of 3 symptoms goes from 0-3 – max count 9
Symptoms count – Max count 3 allowed (note – must use judgment where symptoms overlap) – I also wonder about counting fatigue twice… and muscle pains in first and last question – and then brain fog and concentration problems in separate questions
Pains for over 3 months and a score above 13 is consistent with fibromyalgia
